The number of natural gas powered vehicles increases and the network of gas filling stations expands in the world

According to the data of the International Association for Natural Gas Vehicles NGV Global, having assessed statistical changes, which happened in 2011, it is obvious that the number of natural gas powered transport vehicles and their refilling stations increased significantly in the world. At the end of 2011, there were more than 15 million Natural Gas Vehicles (NGVs) operating in 84 countries worldwide. That represents growth of 19.9% over 2010.

Altogether, NGV Global’s data sums 22.9% average annual growth over the past decade. The number of natural gas filling stations has increased from the end 2010 figure of 18.202 to 19.941, growing 20.8%.
