The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania has selected four Lithuanian small and medium-sized enterprises to receive 12 mil. Litas financial support provided by 2014-2019 Norwegian Financial Mechanism for the development and implementation of green technology. “SG dujos” – developer of alternative fuels infrasuructure (up to date focused mostly on CNG) will receive 2 mil. Litas financial support.

“In selection of recipients for support on the development and implementation of green technologies, priorities were set on combination of factors: environmental-friendliness and positive economical effects. Projects have to be useful for both – environment and business”, said Minister of Economy Mr. Evaldas Gustas.

2 mln. LTL worth financial support will be allocated for the manufacturer of compressed natural gas (CNG) SG Dujos. The company is upgrading technological processes of CNG production, which will allow reducing the environmental footprint and increasing the efficiency of natural resource consumption. The upgrade of the technological process would provide an opportunity to fill the busses with upgraded CNG fuel – mixture of natural gas and hydrogen.

Norwegian Financial Mechanism for the development and implementation of green technology is implemented in cooperation with Norwegian business development agency „Innovation Norway“. SMEs will be reimbursed up to 60% of innovative projects’ value.
