Natural Gas-Powered Vehicles Introduced at Geneva International Motor Show

At the International Motor Show held in Geneva (Switzerland) in March, natural / biogas-powered cars were represented by Fiat Panda 0.9 TwinAir (59 kW/80 hp) elected as the most environmentally friendly car in Switzerland in 2013. CO2 emissions of this natural gas-powered car version are just 77 g / km, and the car averagely consumes 3.1 kg of natural gas / biogas per 100 km, which is equivalent to 4.8 litres of petrol.

SEAT introduced its first natural gas / biogas-powered model – SEAT Mii EcoFuel. Volkswagen – its natural gas / biogas-powered Volkswagen Golf VII TSI EcoFuel. Mercedes-Benz introduced its latest model – a natural gas/biogas-powered car Mercedes-Benz B Class 200.

Opel introduced   Opel Zafira Tourer 1.6 CNG Turbo (110 kW/150 hp), the seven-seated minibus with CO2 emissions of just 116 g / km, which is able to run up to 530 kilometres with the natural gas/biogas fuel.
